Blockchain „made in Berlin“

Berlin is the hotspot for blockchain technologies and a leading business location and innovation driver.

The city of Berlin is an important European hotspot for the development of information and communication technologies. The capital has established itself as a leading business location and innovation driver, especially in the blockchain sector. The sector's large and diverse community works every day on new solutions and strategies to further advance the development of the technology and create far-reaching applications.

We talk to experts from science, business and research to find out how the individual players in the community network and why Berlin offers them the ideal conditions for this. They include Professor Katarina Adam (HTW Berlin) and Professor Axel Küpper (TU Berlin) from the higher education and university landscape, as well as Joachim Lohkamp, CEO of the blockchain company Jolocom, and Alexandra Mikityuk, CEO of Staex. They discuss the role blockchain plays in their fields and what advantages the blockchain ecosystem offers to their organisations.

Also present is Ricardo Garcia. As chairman of BerChain e.V., he has made it his mission to promote the blockchain ecosystem in Berlin. In our interview, he explains how the network brings together the various interest groups and optimises the infrastructure for the community.
