With SSI, users have control over their own data.
In the digital world, we usually move very freely and carefree. In many places on the web, we create digital identities and all too often have to leave our personal data behind. For every login, every purchase or even for digital certificates, we thus repeatedly create our own digital identity. These data are stored by the corresponding third-party providers and we thus relinquish control over them.
The model of Self Sovereign Identities, or SSI for short, shows that this can also be simpler - and above all more secure.
